The village is small enough to feel quiet, but well-connected to the rest of the island. Skala is a short drive for evening dining or a longer beach day. Argostoli, the capital, is easily reachable for a day trip.

Agia Varvara Beach is 600m from Villa Selena and 700m from Margarita and Lilia — approximately an 8–10 minute walk. The beach is quiet, pebbly and has clear water typical of the southern Ionian.

Is a car necessary?

For the beach and the village you don't need one. But to explore the rest of Kefalonia — Myrtos, Assos, Melissani, Argostoli — a rental car is strongly recommended. Each villa has private parking and the island is easy to drive.
